Horses grazing high oxalate pastures need extra calcium to prevent calcium deficiency and associated disease such as 'bighead.' We strongly recommend seeking advice from our qualified equine nutritionists to ensure you're feeding enough calcium.

Horses need three types of omega-3 fatty acids: DHA, EPA and ALA. Green grass, linseeds and linseed oil only provide the ALA form. Horses convert ALA to DHA very inefficiently (less than 10%) and a negligible amount is converted to EPA. That is why we see such drastically good results from very small amounts of algal and marine derived Omega-3 sources that are rich in DHA and EPA.

Does your joint supplement contain hyaluronic acid and omega-3s? These ingredients are highly valued in joint supplements for their chondoprotective, preventative and anti-inflammatory action.
